No, this post is not about adult beverages. Mei Tai is pronounced like this: may tie. Don't ask me where the name came from, because I just don't know. But I adore Mei Tais. (Starting to notice a pattern here?) A mei tai is sort of the step between a wrap and an SSC. It has a square body, sort of like an SSC, but it has long ties instead of buckles. Like this:

Since this carrier uses ties, it's very easily shareable. Brett was a big fan of this one before we got the Ergo. :) It's another really beginner/daddy-friendly carrier, since it doesn't require a lot of know-how to use.

Some well-known brands of mei tais:
- BabyHawk (pictured above, often shortened to BHMT or just BH)
- Kozy
- Wrapstar
- Ella Belly
- Bamberoo
- Beanslings
These are super versatile and easy to find online, but again, buyer beware, as I've heard of fake BabyHawks being sold.
Never fear, when I'm finished with all these carriers, I'll be linking up some great, safe places to buy/sell/trade carriers online. You're welcome. :)
