...my new blog!
I've been thinking recently about my gradual trend toward being a crunchier mama, and I wanted to start posting about it. But I figured my personal blog wasn't really the best fit--I doubt that most of my family is really interested in this stuff, so now they, and other followers of my personal blog, have the opportunity to read this, or to ignore it. :)
I'll be getting a few posts up slowly. I want to sort of introduce the beginning of my "crunchy" journey, because I'm a writer, and everything needs context!
So, who am I?
My name is Laura. I'm currently 26 years old. I've been married for almost 6 years, and we have 2 beautiful children together--a daughter, age 2 1/2, and a son, 14 months. I am a stay-at-home mom and a full-time student. I love to write and am majoring in English. Eventually when we're finished have kids and they're all in school, I plan to go back for a nursing degree and work in burn care, possibly in burn education. I sing, I dance (pretty badly), I read a ton, and I am seriously addicted to Pinterest. I love to bake. I can't draw, really.
I love being a mama, even though it is by far the most difficult thing I've ever done, and my kids are still under 3! I can't imagine the times ahead, which I'm sure will get harder. I love researching things, especially when it comes to parenting. Probably because there's always that fear in the back of my mind that I'm somehow going to screw up my kids. Doesn't every mom think that? I'm careful in my parenting choices, and I think my way of doing things is pretty darn good. But I also know that what I do doesn't work for everyone, and that's okay, too.
You can find my personal blog HERE.
Thanks for stopping by!
